Festive Lights Switch-On - Stand Up Comedy Competition (Part1)
This past Saturday morning, the Amphitheatre at the V&A Waterfront was filled with laughter as the top 10 finalists competed in the Festive Lights Switch-On Comedy Showdown! Each comedian brought their A-game, delivering hilarious 3-minute stand-up routines inspired by the theme “Cape Town: People of Hope.”
✨ Finalists like Baydu Adams, Nathan Kalala, and Rameez Cassiem had the crowd roaring with their witty punchlines, while Milton Gengaya kept us in stitches with their sharp comedic timing. The talented lineup, which also included Ivan André, Rafique Ismail, Prince Mbaya, Mzwa Seme, and Marius Rossouw, made it nearly impossible for the judges, comedy legend Stuart Taylor and his colleagues Angel Campey and Lunga Tshuka, to choose the winners.
